What do you think about travelling to Mount Vernon Cancer Centre?

The responses from the Mount Vernon Cancer Centre (MVCC) public consultation are currently being analysed. However, NHS East of England do know that travel and access were the most frequently raised issues. As a result, further work is being undertaken to explore these challenges in more depth and to identify what could be done to improve access to specialist cancer treatment, both now and in the future.

An engagement exercise is being undertaken to better understand how cancer patients access MVCC. The work focuses on:

  •  How patients currently travel to the centre
  • The behaviours and circumstances that shape travel and access choices
  • Barriers that may affect patients’ ability to use MVCC services
  • What would make access easier, now and in the future.

They are keen to ensure that this work reflects the experiences of:

  •  Patients who have used services at Mount Vernon Cancer Centre
  • Those who were offered services at the cancer centre but chose not to attend or were unable to do so.
