Cervical screening videos from Bedford Borough Council
Bedford Borough Council's Public Health Protection team has launched powerful new videos for Pakistani, Black African, Caribbean, Panjabi, and Bangla communities, where cervical screening rates remain low.

These films are designed to break down barriers, raise awareness and encourage more women to attend their cervical screening, a simple test that can prevent cancer and save lives.
Cervical screening helps prevent illness before it starts, even if you feel well. Many sisters worry the test is painful, but it’s quick, private, and carried out by a female nurse.
Two women die every day from this disease, but screening can prevent it. It only takes a few minutes, is done by a nurse, and everything is private and respectful. Don’t miss your invitation, book your NHS test today.
