Aidan brings over 30 years of experience working across both the charity sector and NHS, where he led communication and governance functions, always prioritising patient safety and quality within a transparent learning culture.

Having worked in Bedford for over nine years and lived in the town since 2016, Aidan is deeply committed to health fairness, accessibility, and high-quality health services for all. His extensive background and dedication to improving health outcomes make him an invaluable addition to Healthwatch Bedford Borough.

On his appointment, Aidan expressed his enthusiasm:

"I am honoured and fortunate to be joining Healthwatch Bedford Borough at this exciting time as it develops a strong community volunteer base to work alongside health providers to deliver accessible, timely, quality, and safe services to the people of Bedford. As health and care services across the borough reflect the national pressures, Healthwatch is the liaison between the patient and health providers to make sure your voice and feedback help shape safe care. Healthwatch can highlight areas for improvement and celebrate success and good practice, and I am delighted to contribute in a small way to this very important work."

Aidan's leadership is expected to guide Healthwatch Bedford Borough in its mission to amplify the voices of local residents regarding health and social care services, ensuring that these services meet the needs of the community effectively.
