Changes to primary care phlebotomy
As of Monday 30th October 2023, the Phlebotomy GP service at Gilbert Hitchcock House will require ALL patients to book an appointment for a blood test. Please note, this also includes patients with urgent blood test forms.
Please book your blood test appointment slot by choosing one of the following three options:
Option 1...

*After logging in or registering with Sangix for the first time, choose 'Bedford Hospital' from the drop-down.
Option 2...
- Call the automated 24-hour phone line on 01234 607075
*Please note, this service does NOT send you an SMS booking confirmation message to confirm the booking, so have pen and paper ready.
Option 3...
- call reception on 01234 792160 (open between 10am and 4pm)
