MSK Gig Economy focus Group

Our meetings
BEDFORD ATHLETIC RUFC Wentworth Drive, Bedford, MK41 8QA
Thursday 16th May, 2024 - 18:30 to 20:30

About this event

Healthwatch Bedford Borough have been commissioned by Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes Health and Care Partnership (BLMK HCP) to undertake some targeted focus groups to gain views on the re-design of the community musculoskeletal (MSK) service.

Musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions can affect your joints, bones, muscles, and sometimes tissues such as your nerves.

Right now, the community MSK service is provided slightly differently across BLMK, and the contracts will be coming to an end in 2025, so this is your opportunity to have your say on future service redesign.

We are looking for a maximum of 10 *gig economy workers to participate aged 16 and above from Bedford Borough for this focus group.

After taking part in the session, participants will be awarded a £15 Amazon gift card each as a thank you for attending.

*The term gig economy worker refers to someone that relies heavily on temporary and part-time positions or hours. These are often independent contractors and freelancers rather than full-time permanent employees.

A wide variety of positions fall into the category of a gig worker. The work can range from driving for Uber or delivering food to building contractors or those writing freelance articles.

THIS MEETING IS FACE-TO-FACE AND WILL BE IN PERSON.
