As part of their statutory powers under the Health and Social Care Act 2012, Healthwatch Bedford Borough can Enter and View health and social care services. This can be on an unannounced or announced basis.
Healthwatch Bedford Borough recruits volunteers to undertake Enter and View. Enter and View Visitors (known as ‘authorised representatives’ in the legislation) can visit certain health and social care services to see how they are run, and to gather feedback and highlight best practice. Healthwatch Bedford Borough will not use Enter and View to inspect health and adult social care services as the Care Quality Commission inspections do this, but as an opportunity to help services improve and meet the needs of the people who use them.
Training is mandatory for all Enter and View volunteers, after which you will be an authorised Healthwatch Bedford Borough representative.
We want volunteers from all sections of the community for our Enter and View work - please complete the attached form - or if you want to know more please please contact us.
